Business Needs

The design process may differ from company to company as they will each ahave different needs. For example a small company may not have the funds to buy stock photos.

In larger companies the design process is more complex as there are many more steps needed to be taken to ensure the brief is kept to and the clients get what they require.

Some added steps may be to record the filenames of stock photos an how much each one costs. There may be a specific budget for these photos and there may be a certain type of image required.

Briefs may be a lot larger and different types of formats may be used. Clients may require full branding from web design to print design. This also means a lot more communication between designer and client. Which means more stages in the design process of fixing amendments and creating more protoypes to be checked. The stages of each of the processes will also take more time to complete and be checked.

Smaller companies may nto need as many stages in the process as stock photos may not be affordable. The brief may be a lot smaller as they may ony have a small amount of facilities and therefore can only offer a certain type of design format.
